With Gold Prices Up, Try Gold Filled Jewelry This Season!

With gold prices hitting new highs everyday, gold filled jewelry makes an excellent substitute for solid 14K gold jewelry this Christmas season. Gold filled jewelry has the luster and durability you will find in 14K gold jewelry. You may wonder what gold filled jewelry is! It is not gold plated jewelry. By definition gold filled jewelry is 14K gold filled with a brass base. The gold is 5% the total weight of the ring required by federal regulation. With regular wear, gold filled jewelry will last a lifetime. Gold plated jewelry is not regulated and usually is a minute amount of gold covering a brass ring that wears off fairly quick.

Consider gold filled jewelry as a gift this season. It will shine and last and save you quite a bit of money. Toe rings and thumb rings are avilable in 14K gold, 14K gold filled and sterling silver at http://www.gemsofgold.com/ .
